About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and monitor daily workflow in the pharmacy
  • Lead team huddles and provide initial coaching and direction to pharmacy technicians
  • Interact with healthcare providers and provide guidance to patients about medication coverage
  • Support and train new employees
  • Conduct quality and productivity audits
  • Identify ongoing training and retraining opportunities on the team
  • Create, modify, and adhere to SOP/SWI
  • Cross-train in multiple areas while maintaining proficiency and accuracy
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts for the team, site, and work stream
  • Juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years Pharmacy Technician work experience
  • Valid AZ Pharmacy technician license and national certification
  • Experience with Script Med system
  • Experience with coaching or mentoring a plus
  • Ability to resolve escalations using good judgement and decision making skills
  • Deep understanding of the Pharmacy Technician process
  • Basic Math skills
  • Strong experience with MS Office, especially with Excel
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to self-direct, multi-task, be accountable, approachable, and organized
  • Ability to work a rotating work schedule in the Eastern Standard Zone: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST 4 days per week; 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM EST 1 day per week
  • Rotating Saturday shift from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Reliable internet connectivity through a wired connection; mobile or hotspot environment is not acceptable
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload
