About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop analyses, insights, and recommendations for strategic planning, operational decisions, and performance improvement across Individual Dental Operations
  • Monitor operational, customer, financial, and KPI data to identify trends, risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct root cause analyses and quantify impacts where reliable data is available
  • Lead development, maintenance, and optimization of operational reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools
  • Define reporting requirements, business outcomes, performance measures, data needs, and audience expectations with stakeholders
  • Design reporting solutions that provide visibility into performance, risks, trends, and required actions
  • Identify and implement automated reporting, analytical, and workflow solutions using approved enterprise tools
  • Evaluate automation opportunities and develop solutions that reduce repetitive work and improve timeliness and consistency
  • Incorporate documentation, testing, validation, exception handling, and business controls into automated solutions
  • Identify and support responsible artificial intelligence and generative AI use cases
  • Establish human review and validation expectations for AI-generated outputs
  • Develop, document, measure, and monitor key performance indicators
  • Develop vendor performance reporting and support vendor reviews, transitions, and corrective actions
  • Establish reporting controls and validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability
  • Identify data-quality concerns and control gaps and coordinate remediation
  • Lead or support continuous improvement, workflow redesign, standardization, and operational modernization initiatives
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, business transitions, operational planning, and enterprise projects
  • Develop decision-support materials, business-case inputs, leadership updates, and progress reporting
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Reporting, Technology, Finance, Vendor Management, Product, Compliance, and other teams
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for analytics, reporting, performance measurement, automation, and workflow improvement
  • Facilitate requirements discussions and communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Operations, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • At least two years of experience in healthcare analytics, business analytics, operational reporting, performance management, or a related field
  • Experience developing and managing performance reports, dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators, and operational analyses
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, conduct root cause analysis, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for reporting, analytics, process-improvement, or automation solutions
  • Experience improving workflows, recurring reporting processes, or operational activities through redesign, standardization, or automation
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, prioritization, written communication, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assess data quality, challenge unsupported conclusions, and recognize analytical limitations
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and changing priorities
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Ability to document analytical processes, business rules, reporting logic, assumptions, and controls
  • Preferred: Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform, or comparable tools
  • Preferred: Experience in customer operations, contact center operations, healthcare operations, dental benefits, or another regulated service environment
  • Preferred: Experience using artificial intelligence or generative AI tools
  • Preferred: Experience with vendor oversight, service-level reporting, or vendor performance management
  • Preferred: Knowledge of operational risk, regulatory requirements, business controls, data governance, privacy, or compliance
  • Preferred: Experience supporting business transitions, operating-model implementation, stabilization, or transformation initiatives
  • Preferred: Experience developing executive-level dashboards or decision-support materials
  • Home internet connection must use cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload when working at home
