About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process medications and support pharmacological services.
  • Liaise with insurance companies and communicate with patients as needed.
  • Process orders and ensure timely shipment of medications.
  • Maintain patient prescription and order records.
  • Respond to facility managers' and co-workers' requests and questions.
  • Refer inquiries to Pharmacists.
  • Comply with pharmacy rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy.
  • Perform administrative and record-keeping tasks assigned by a Pharmacist or facility manager.
  • Handle patient calls as needed.
  • Work a rotating Monday–Friday schedule and a rotating Saturday shift once a month.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma, or GED.
  • 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician work experience.
  • Valid MA Pharmacy technician license required by state laws.
  • National certification strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and data entry skills.
  • Basic math skills (addition/subtraction/multiplication).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Massachusetts residency required.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Newburyport, MA location.
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload for working from home.
