About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end provider experience and service delivery for the assigned medium- to low-complexity book of business
  • Lead, collaborate on, and support local-market initiatives to improve provider experience
  • Create and maintain provider strategic action plans
  • Identify provider opportunities and risks and drive resolution
  • Capture, document, and share market intelligence to develop strategic improvements
  • Serve as an external-facing contact for assigned providers
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, translate, and distribute provider informatics, reports, and dashboards
  • Track and monitor performance guarantees
  • Promote Provider Index score improvement through proactive network service and support
  • Review provider reports and dashboards with individual providers
  • Educate providers on Cigna's objectives, procedures, policies, and programs
  • Serve as a provider advocate internally and externally
  • Advise matrix partners as a consultant or subject matter expert
  • Develop and participate in presentations for existing and prospective providers and clients
  • Represent Cigna to medical societies and external provider associations
  • Manage joint operating committees, including agendas, participation, and follow-up

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in provider relations preferred
  • Successful account management experience preferred
  • Claims administration experience preferred
  • Solid experience using Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Experience with Proclaim or Facets preferred
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of medical insurance products and associated provider issues
  • Ability to assist an account management team through issue resolution
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Up to 10% travel required
  • Home internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working from home
