About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to assist the sales team
  • Deliver in-depth presentations and product demonstrations to clients and sales representatives
  • Support installation components of product/service solutions and develop prototypes
  • Provide ongoing customer support for product/service usage issues
  • Partner with Sales Representatives on new business and retention/growth opportunities for the O500 Buyer Group
  • Establish plan design solutions, interpret benefits, identify non-standard Cigna benefit administration requirements, and propose alternatives
  • Analyze prospect data to determine viability
  • Communicate with brokers to obtain critical data and negotiate timing
  • Strategize on funding and benefit solutions based on client needs
  • Determine benefit intent and partner with underwriting to develop quotes
  • Create and maintain SFDC opportunities, sculpt benefits, apply legislation/compliance, and coordinate performance guarantees
  • Support financial development, including translation factors, plan designs, network solutions, financial risks, and caveats
  • Initiate SFDC activities and participate in Strategy/LCR calls
  • Coordinate with Sales, Proposal Unit, and enterprise partners to produce accurate, high-quality proposals
  • Coordinate with business units for additional lines of coverage
  • Project manage the RFP process as primary contact for engaged business units
  • Review and coordinate deliverables while meeting internal and external deadlines
  • Monitor new product initiatives and healthcare-industry impacts from PPACA changes
  • Act as a subject matter expert to identify gaps and improve the Presale process
  • Support and provide direction to junior professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS highly preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of presale experience preferred
  • Background in Insurance, Healthcare, Employee Benefits, Sales, Finance, Underwriting & Risk, Account Management, Project Management, or Consulting Services
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare product lines, major funding vehicles, and benefits administration
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills and ability to influence business partners
  • Strong project management and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to drive results with urgency and accuracy
  • Creative thinking and ability to translate ideas into actions
  • For home working, cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
