About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Sales Representatives on new business and existing business retention/growth opportunities for the O500 Buyer Group
  • Establish plan design solutions, interpret benefits, identify non-standard Cigna benefit administration requirements, propose alternatives, and adhere to legislative compliance
  • Analyze data to determine prospect viability
  • Communicate with brokers to obtain critical data and negotiate timing
  • Strategize on funding and benefit solutions based on client needs, industry, benefits, and product knowledge
  • Determine benefit intent and partner with underwriting to develop quotes
  • Create and maintain opportunities in SFDC, including benefit sculpting, legislation/compliance, and performance guarantees
  • Support financial development, including translation factors, plan design, network solutions, financial risks, and caveats
  • Initiate SFDC activities and participate in Strategy/LCR calls
  • Collaborate with Sales, Proposal Unit, and enterprise partners to ensure accurate, thorough, high-quality proposals
  • Coordinate with business units for additional lines of coverage
  • Project manage the RFP process as primary contact for engaged business units
  • Review and coordinate deliverables including financials, questionnaires, plan designs, guarantees, repricings, disruptions, geographies, and exhibits
  • Stay current on product initiatives and healthcare industry impacts from PPACA changes
  • Act as a subject matter expert to identify gaps and incorporate changes into the Presale process
  • Support and provide direction to more junior professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS highly preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of Presale experience preferred
  • Background in Insurance, Healthcare, Employee Benefits, Sales, Finance, Underwriting & Risk, Account Management, Project Management, or Consulting Services
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare product lines, major funding vehicles, and benefits administration
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills and ability to influence business partners
  • Strong project management and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments and work with frequent shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to drive results with a sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Creative thinking and ability to translate ideas into actions
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload for home working
