About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain the architectural runway and technical foundation for Company initiatives
Implement new features and capabilities for delivery teams supporting Company products
Participate in continuous technical exploration within the continuous delivery pipeline
Enable Epics, define subsystems and interfaces, allocate subsystem responsibilities, understand solution deployment, and communicate interaction requirements
Deliver and review System Architecture solutions for applications or groups of applications
Provide hands-on technical mentoring to teams and projects
Develop capabilities using new technology and products while staying involved with agile development teams
Contribute to application roadmaps and support enterprise architecture product and capability roadmaps
Support engineering and delivery teams in building and maintaining standards- and architecture-conformant applications
Lead and facilitate application-domain sizing efforts
Present solutions, logical design direction, and technology recommendations to stakeholders
Support performance and volume stress testing
Create and maintain System Architecture team best practices, deliverables, and processes
Ensure solutions fit project schedules and costs and provide optionality when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Analyst or related occupation
Experience with Spring Integration and MQ to read and process data
Experience with TDD processes and writing JUnit test cases before implementation
Experience deploying projects into DEV, SYS, PVS, and PROD environments
Experience writing Cucumber (Specification by Example) scenarios for requirements
Experience developing RESTful services according to business requirements
Experience using Eclipse for coding and SVN for version control
Experience writing Maven scripts for building applications
Experience deploying applications using Linux/Mac OS terminal in IT, UAT, and production environments
Experience implementing complex modules using Java/J2EE frameworks, including Spring, Hibernate, and web services
Experience with relational database design, BRMS Drools Rule Engine, Windows, Struts, Servlets, JavaScript, Ajax, SVN, MVC, WebSphere Server, and Apache Tomcat Server
For home working, internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
