About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Sales representatives to prepare and submit accurate new-sale quotes, including package and group benefit quotations, in coordination with Underwriting
  • Create client-focused proposals and tailored sales presentation materials
  • Coordinate the new-business implementation process with internal and external partners
  • Respond to prospect and broker inquiries, resolve issues and connect partners to information and resources
  • Prepare and send applications and supporting documents to clients
  • Coordinate with operational teams through new-business installation
  • Maintain new-business and existing-client growth information in Salesforce
  • Produce standard and customized reports to support decisions
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis using enterprise tools, quality standards and sales best practices
  • Identify insights and support operational priorities
  • Build relationships across teams to gather information, solve problems and move work forward
  • Contribute to market projects and process improvements identified by the Sales Administration Manager
  • Report to the Sales Administration Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative, sales support or a related role
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Sound judgment and close attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proofreading abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of accountability, initiative and commitment to responsive service
  • Home internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload when working from home
  • Bachelor's degree in business, office administration or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience supporting a Sales team or working in the group insurance business (preferred)
  • Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management system (preferred)
