About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the principal designer for major systems with moderate complexity and their subsystems
  • Provide consultation to business unit and IT management and staff on application programming and processes across diverse development platforms and computing environments
  • Identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, code reuse opportunities, and purchased-solution integrations
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend efficient, cost-effective application programming solutions
  • Code new or modified programs, reuse existing code, and/or integrate purchased solutions
  • Document, test, implement, and provide ongoing application support
  • Conceive, plan, and deliver initiatives using creativity, foresight, and judgment
  • Advise functional leaders using deep professional knowledge
  • Provide thought leadership within Application Development on broader business projects
  • Serve as an internally recognized subject matter expert

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 3 years of experience in any mainframe migration and development role in the pharmacy benefits management domain
  • Experience with Medicare Part D Plans including secondary non-Medicare prescription drug coverage
  • Experience facilitating payer determinations and accurately calculating TrOOP expenses of beneficiaries
  • Mainframe migration and development using COBOL 6, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and TSO/ISPF
  • PBM Claim Adjudication
  • NCPDP Standards
  • Working in multiple CICS regions
  • Accumulation calculation for TROOP and OOP
  • Complex Code Analysis
  • Preparing online and batch test plans
  • Extracting and creating batch and online test data according to code changes
  • Working with business counterparts to generate requirements
  • Leading onshore and offshore teams
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload when working from home
