About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead critical analytical work supporting C&CE strategic priorities
  • Support the Workforce & Footprint Strategy team through strategic improvements in customer experience and operating efficiency
  • Improve associate experience through better capabilities and tools
  • Understand business problems, develop analytical models and insights, and build compelling business-case presentations
  • Independently structure workstreams and solve problems across stakeholder domains
  • Lead impactful projects across domains or functions
  • Perform hands-on analysis and present to executive (VP+) audiences
  • Develop business cases, evaluate options, and assess costs and benefits to guide prioritization
  • Identify data needs, pull data from relevant sources, and perform analysis
  • Identify business opportunities through trend analysis and operational-data mining
  • Develop testing plans, monitor performance indicators, and investigate and remediate emerging issues
  • Distill analytical work into presentations that educate, inform, and inspire action
  • Translate Operations needs into business requirements for Tech partners
  • Partner with Operations, Product, Tech, Finance, and other Cigna teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Five years of relevant analytics or management consulting experience
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to structure project/program plans and independently drive workstreams forward
  • Ability to partner across organizations and roles to influence and deliver work
  • Proficiency in an analytics-focused coding language, e.g. SQL, Python, or R
  • Two years of building, managing, or using business models, such as optimization, predictive analysis and forecasting, or financial/credit modeling
  • Internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload when working from home
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Eight or more years of relevant analytics or management consulting experience preferred
  • Four or more years of end-to-end model design and ownership experience preferred
  • Two or more years of healthcare experience preferred
  • Two or more years of Operations or Customer Experience experience preferred
