About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interpret physicians’ and prescribers’ prescriptions
  • Contact doctors and patients to verify prescription information and expedite order processing
  • Compound and dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines
  • Verify controlled-substance validity
  • Verify prescription information entered by data or order entry
  • Contact physicians for new or transfer authorization
  • Work with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs when possible

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current resident pharmacist license in good standing
  • Must reside in Florida, Indiana, Arizona, or Pennsylvania
  • Must be licensed in the state of residence
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions
  • Strong focus on customer service, quality, and accuracy
  • Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm CT during the 6–8-week training period
  • Ability to work either Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–7:00 pm CT or Thursday–Sunday, 10-hour daytime shifts after training
  • Participate in a one-week on-call rotation 2–3 times per year
  • Home internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
