About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for the Regional portfolio
  • Provide analysis on financial performance, valuation movements, risks and opportunities
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning with business stakeholders and Group Finance
  • Present performance, forecasts and recommendations to senior leadership, governance forums and Joint Venture Boards
  • Oversee customer collections, arrears management and write-off governance
  • Improve reporting, forecasting and finance processes through automation, standardisation and continuous improvement
  • Serve as finance lead for Regional Joint Ventures
  • Own Joint Venture reporting and ensure compliance with agreements, delegated authorities and governance frameworks
  • Act as finance partner to the Head of Portfolio Management and Regional leadership team
  • Support strategic planning through financial modelling, scenario analysis, business cases and investment appraisals
  • Evaluate asset management opportunities, including regears, renewals, lettings, developments, acquisitions and disposals
  • Support property onboarding and conduct financial due diligence
  • Provide financial oversight and commercial support for development and major refurbishment projects
  • Support development appraisals, project phasing, funding requirements and return assessments
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Build financial modelling capability and maintain hands-on involvement in complex analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Significant post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience within commercial real estate, property, investment or asset management finance
  • Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting and strategic planning within complex commercial organisations
  • Sound knowledge of governance frameworks, financial controls and Joint Venture structures
  • Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate insights into practical commercial recommendations
  • Advanced experience developing, reviewing and challenging sophisticated financial models
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen supporting investment, development, asset management and strategic decision-making
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-support skills
  • Proven track record of leading, developing and motivating high-performing teams
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, external partners and Joint Venture organisations
  • Ability to present complex financial information to financial and non-financial audiences
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent financial systems expertise
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • Commitment to improving finance processes, controls, governance and operational efficiency
