About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and review monthly and yearly account closing, ensuring figures tally with Balance Sheet Notes schedule, IFRS Schedule, and Interco Matrix
Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including debt collection and invoice issuance
Prepare and present monthly financial analysis during monthly meetings
Prepare and present monthly cash flow projections with division heads
Prepare and support annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and tax agents for yearly tax computation and submission
Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and payroll-related taxes
Coordinate with the company secretary, Commissioner for Oaths, and bankers on statutory and administrative requirements
Build working relationships and provide financial support to operations and country teams
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and stronger internal controls
Support operations with management accounting reports, stakeholder and landlord reports, and variance analysis
Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as required by Management or Regional Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Three to five years experience in a leadership position, ideally within finance and accounting
Personable with strong verbal and written communication
Exceptionally organised with the ability to multitask
Thrives under pressure and solution-oriented
Proficient in MS Excel and Google Sheets
Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting
Experience dealing with tax matters and external audits in Malaysia
Fluent in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage
Prior experience in coworking, real estate, or startup business would be an advantage
University Degree is an advantage
