About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Carry out day-to-day operations and duties of the People team
  • Update and maintain team records and files
  • Process promotions, demotions, resignations, terminations, and exit interviews
  • Assist with monthly payroll calculations and statutory contributions for Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines
  • Process team expense claims according to payroll deadlines
  • Deliver confidential documents to governing bodies and offices when required
  • Respond to employee queries and requests
  • Update the Team Handbook with policies and procedures
  • Support company updates and communicate insurance policy details
  • Organise team activities and work events to boost engagement and morale
  • Participate in country meetings and build relationships with team members
  • Escalate team issues and support recognition or specific management conversations
  • Assist with communicating bi-annual performance reviews
  • Support internal communications, including the internal newsletter and LinkedIn post ideas
  • Post job advertisements and coordinate interviews
  • Support hiring approval and sign-off processes
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment journey
  • Coordinate onboarding, complete paperwork, and support a positive candidate experience
  • Coordinate training programmes and maintain training records
  • Process HRDC training claims and monitor the training budget
  • Search for appropriate group-level training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Exceptionally organised with the ability to multitask
  • Thrives under pressure and is solution-oriented
  • Previous work experience in administration preferred; non-related experience or recent school leavers will also be considered
  • Basic knowledge of Employment Law for the markets supported
  • Strong verbal and written communication; good listener and ability to build relationships
  • A university degree in HR or related fields is an advantage
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Ability to utilise AI (Gemini) to support work
  • Accountable and enjoys fast-paced working environments
  • Prior experience in coworking, real estate, or startup business advantageous
  • Fluent in English
