About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic client partnership development with manufacturing and mining clients
- Manage client relationships and lead new business endeavors
- Develop opportunities for clients with complex environmental programs
- Leverage existing connections to build new business and maintain a project pipeline
- Stay ahead of relevant regulations
- Lead proposal development and deliver client presentations
- Maintain long-term client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
- Develop strategies addressing client risks, execution concerns, and stakeholder issues
- Collaborate with project managers and clients from initial contact through project completion
- Maintain knowledge of regulations related to environmental review, environmental impact statements, and natural resources development permitting
- Participate in strategic planning, development, deployment, and growth initiatives
- Support natural resource development projects, including baseline data acquisition, environmental review, permitting, reclamation, and legal defense
- Mentor and coach team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a similar discipline
- 10+ years' experience in engineering consulting services in either the public or private sector
- Prior experience in client-facing project management, including strategy, execution, scope of work and proposal development
- Approximately 25% travel
- Preferred: 15+ years of experience in engineering consulting services in either the public or private sector
- Preferred: Proven track record developing, retaining, and maintaining successful client relationships
- Preferred: Prior experience in client relationship management and sales
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in environmental/engineering projects including investigations, feasibility studies, alternative evaluations, technical strategies, design, and client/legal counsel/regulatory negotiation
- Must complete required drug testing within two business days of offer acceptance
- Must undergo testing for commonly abused controlled substances after receiving a written offer, subject to applicable state law
