About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques
- Develop discipline-related curricula
- Assess student learning
- Participate in program evaluation and college activities
- Maintain college and department standards supporting the College’s mission and strategic plan
- Develop, maintain, interpret, and execute administrative procedures and practices
- Develop and maintain manuals regarding College policies, procedures, rules, and standards
- Analyze class and program needs
- Determine and recommend retention or deletion of courses
- Develop and coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates
- Maintain and adjust calendars tracking schedules
- Assist students with program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Education (any field), Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Family and Marriage Therapy, or Social Work
- Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Education (any field), Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Family and Marriage Therapy, or Social Work
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
- Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Ability to work a fluctuating schedule including evenings and weekends
- Official transcripts, college-stamped student copies, or non-web based unofficial transcripts must be attached to the application
- U.S. degrees must be conferred by an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
- Foreign degrees must be validated by a NACES member organization, with an evaluation report attached before the application closing date
- Must pass a drug test and criminal background investigation if required
