About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and maintain ICCT’s security platforms, including EDR tools, web filtering, network threat prevention, SIEM, and IAM systems
- Manage endpoint security using MDM and endpoint protection platforms, ensuring enrollment, compliance, and enforcement of current policies
- Monitor security dashboards, alerts, and threat intelligence feeds; triage and respond to security incidents
- Oversee email security solutions and coordinate security awareness training, phishing simulations, and educational campaigns
- Manage identity and access controls, secure authentication, single sign-on, and access provisioning
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits; coordinate penetration testing
- Maintain and update incident response policies, standards, and procedures
- Support compliance with Brazil’s LGPD and the GDPR, and serve as a point of contact for privacy and security matters
- Manage VPN infrastructure and support firewalls and network security devices
- Manage privileged access and password systems, including credential lifecycle management and secure storage
- Monitor SaaS application security and oversee backup validation across cloud platforms
- Conduct vendor security assessments and ensure compliance of third-party systems
- Support onboarding and offboarding, including secure device configuration and account deactivation
- Communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as senior leadership
- Join the global IT team, reporting directly to the Global IT Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT security, information assurance, or a related role
- Proven experience administering endpoint management and security tools, including MDM and EDR platforms
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and identity management systems
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, threat prevention, and incident response processes
- Familiarity with data protection regulations, particularly Brazil’s LGPD, the EU GDPR, or equivalent legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different time zones
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global and distributed teams
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience with security features in enterprise productivity suites, including conditional access, data loss prevention, and threat protection (preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and major cloud platforms (preferred)
- Experience in international nonprofit or research organizations (preferred)
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture and identity-based access controls (preferred)
- Must reside in São Paulo
- Availability for international travel
