About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with general accounting and financial analysis for a specific business area or shared services finance team
Prepare financial analysis and projections for various initiatives
Perform pre/post initiative analysis and provide recommendations
Provide fact-based decision support to business partners and leadership teams
Present financial data at monthly business reviews and financial reviews
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand financial results and outlook
Lead analysis and processes supporting the Annual Financial Plan and Long-Range Plan
Support functional and cross-functional projects, including process improvement, standardization, simplification, and technological advancement
Analyze business scenarios and communicate implications and outlook
Monitor business trends to deliver short- and long-term objectives
Develop understanding of packaged food categories, retailers, consumers, and competition to drive strategic decisions
Provide financial perspective to Marketing, Innovation, Brand Commercialization, and other constituents
Understand corporate, brand, customer, and production planning/forecasting cycles and their impact on the financial outlook
Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end actuals and forecasts
Communicate actual and anticipated results through insightful dialogue and reporting
Participate in the Finance Analyst Rotation Program, taking new Finance roles approximately every two years

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
1+ years' financial analysis experience
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail/accuracy
Excel knowledge
Understanding of Income Statement
