About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical services in an OMH-licensed outpatient mental health clinic/CCBHC location
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and intakes
- Develop, review, and revise treatment plans with clients
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis interventions
- Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and community agencies to coordinate care
- Link clients to care coordination, SUD services, nursing, psychiatric, and medical services
- Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision
- Maintain documentation according to organizational, regulatory, and funding-source standards
- Maintain professional and ethical standards
- Participate in required agency training in evidence-based models such as CBT/MI
- Maintain an active and steady caseload
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work a centrally managed schedule, including late afternoons Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live within the United States
- Valid New York State license required: LMHC, LCAT, LMSW, or LCSW
- Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program
- Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience
- Experience documenting in electronic health records
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Ability to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry
- Experience treating children or adolescents preferred
- Fluency in a second language preferred
- Experience with tele-mental health platforms a plus
- Ability to maintain an active and steady caseload
- Skilled in clinical risk assessment and trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions
- Effective time management skills for timely client care and clinical documentation
- Understanding of group dynamics and ability to lead clinical group sessions
- Ability to use clinical assessments to drive referrals
