About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Deliver the Exploring Enterprise course as needed
  • Travel throughout the local area to support programme delivery
  • Deliver programmes online, in-centre, or in the community
  • Help young people explore and test business ideas
  • Support young people to write business plans and start businesses
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and personal survival budgets
  • Provide sector-specific insights and constructive feedback
  • Support funding applications
  • Help young people achieve outcomes in education, training, volunteering, or work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Passion for supporting 18–30-year-old entrepreneurs
  • Ability to support young people interested in self-employment
  • Ability to help young people explore and test business ideas, write business plans, and start businesses or achieve alternative outcomes
  • Ability to create robust and viable business plans
  • Knowledge of cash flow forecasts and personal survival budgets
  • Sector-specific business insights
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback
  • Ability to support funding applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Successful completion of basic disclosure checks; enhanced checks for roles working directly with young people
