About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative oversight, coordination, and operational management of healthcare services across multiple facilities
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Site Administrators
  • Report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer
  • Manage nursing staff, including supervision, hiring, and performance management
  • Schedule shifts and manage time off to ensure adequate nurse coverage
  • Coordinate and negotiate medical vendor service contracts
  • Attend managerial meetings
  • Address patient complaints
  • Audit medical records and medication procedures
  • Track mandatory training and provide educational opportunities for nurses
  • Track and maintain licensure requirements for medical staff
  • Plan and facilitate staff meetings and ensure cleanliness of medical areas
  • Develop and review policies, procedures, and SOPs
  • Perform ACA-related duties and attend mandatory training classes
  • Oversee nursing services in Newark, Bridgeton, and Philadelphia
  • Travel to multiple locations weekly
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in healthcare administration and supervisory experience
  • Experience with healthcare operations, staff management, compliance, policies and procedures, scheduling, vendor management, and quality improvement
  • Prior experience in correctional healthcare, residential substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or residential treatment strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • Education in Healthcare Administration, Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related healthcare management field
  • Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program; BSN preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in New Jersey; New Jersey license required
  • Compact license for Pennsylvania and New Jersey preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of ACA requirements
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care
  • Ability to work in an environment where safety and security are paramount
  • Ability to travel regularly to multiple locations weekly
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
