About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with creation of the master project schedule, incorporating design, submittals, fabrication and construction activities
- Facilitate information flow among Owners, Designers, Preconstruction, Quality Assurance, Subcontractors/Suppliers and Field divisions
- Assist the Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings
- Read and interpret contracts, terms, provisions, estimates, agreements, set up sheets, reports, specifications and plans to determine processing and completion procedures
- Work with the Project Manager to set schedules and expedite the submittal review/approval process
- Create, manage, process and log RFIs and submittals
- Track potential changes through the request for change (RFC) system
- Identify and document close-out procedures, including a checklist
- Prepare and provide the owner with warranty letters, maintenance and operation manuals
- Travel to jobsites approximately once per month
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or another related Engineering field
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role required
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional in actions and appearance
- Effective interactions with owners, subcontractors, employees and assistants
- Strong computer skills
- Previous experience with P6 is preferred
