About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver the proprietary curriculum in special classes during the week to each classroom.
- Move from classroom to classroom and work alongside classroom teachers.
- Serve as a role model for children and staff.
- Ensure quality throughout the programs.
- Provide additional support to teachers, children, and families.
- Train teachers in effective teaching styles, transitions, and communication techniques.
- Work with the school leadership team on daily administrative tasks, including opening and closing procedures, touring, answering phones, classroom coverage, and monthly purchasing and organizing of curriculum supplies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in teaching
- Candidates must meet all state and Nest School requirements, clearing them to work with children in the childcare setting.
- Outgoing leader with a true desire to spread joy and fun to staff and kids alike.
- Ability to energetically model and participate in athletic activities, deep stretches, active songs, and free and silly dance routines.
- Current CDA Certificate, OR Associates or bachelor’s in education, OR Degree in unrelated field with current CDA certificate.
- Teaching/Childcare: 3 years (Required)
- Health & Wellness Background/Knowledge (Preferred)
- Fine Arts & Music Background/Knowledge (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
