About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and manage multifamily housing development projects from initial pricing and scheduling through construction completion and handoff to property management
  • Engage and direct strategic external consultants and oversee consultant coordination meetings
  • Coordinate pricing, scheduling, project timelines, stakeholder timelines, and resolution of coordination challenges
  • Conduct title reviews and coordinate resolution of title issues with legal counsel
  • Coordinate entitlements, pricing materials, due diligence, zoning, permitting, and local authority engagement
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, risk registers, entitlement schedules, project budgets, and soft cost/pre-development budgets
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for executive committee meetings
  • Manage soft-funding and other applications, consultant contracts, budget data, compliance requirements, and milestone and risk reporting
  • Manage information flow for schedule milestones and budgets, financial closing calls, checklists, closing issues, and outside counsel coordination
  • Submit design-related applications and obtain demolition/building permits
  • Monitor construction progress and development budgets; partner with construction and consultants to resolve field issues
  • Review potential change orders arising from plan issues or revisions
  • Manage transition to property management and asset management, including cost certification and conversion
  • Complete tax credit and soft money applications and manage processes with housing credit agencies, housing authorities, and non-profit partners
  • Monitor project pro forma with Capital Markets cross-functional team members
  • Facilitate routine reporting on project execution, contract administration, budget management, applications, land management, financial closing, post-closing contracts, change orders, leasing handoff, and property management coordination

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Real Estate, Land Planning, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in real estate development or multifamily housing
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, managing due diligence, entitlements, and large-scale projects
  • Experience with financial planning, budget management, and P&L accountability
  • Familiarity with zoning regulations, real estate debt and equity financing, community engagement, and regulatory processes
  • Expertise in integrated project management and governance frameworks
  • Experience as an “owner’s representative” or similar role, ensuring alignment between construction, development and financial goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of project management tools is a plus
