About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform administrative tasks for assigned faculty, administrators, and programs supporting patient care, academic, and research missions
  • Coordinate and maintain appointment calendars
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, educational programs, and special events, including logistics
  • Attend meetings and record, transcribe, and distribute minutes
  • Make national and international travel and lodging arrangements
  • Collect receipts, prepare requests, and track reimbursement of expenses
  • Draft and prepare correspondence
  • Prepare reports, tables, and presentation slides
  • Assist with grant applications, manuscripts, and research reports
  • Assist faculty with credentialing and promotion and tenure documents
  • Update curricula vitae and track Continuing Medical Education documentation
  • Answer phones and inquiries
  • Serve as liaison for faculty, staff, investigators, administration, and external customers and organizations
  • Open, screen, and distribute mail
  • Establish and maintain files
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Six months experience (600 hours training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex
  • Six months experience (600 hours course work) in office practices and procedures
  • Six months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • A drug screen or re-employment physical may be required during the post-offer process
