About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support administration, coordination, and evaluation of CTSI Investigator Career Development programs
  • Coordinate scheduling and promotion of educational series, workshops, seminars, mentoring workshops, career dinners, grant-writing workshops, office hours, meetings, and events
  • Support externship initiatives and career development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain training and program communication resources, including video libraries and online modules
  • Assist with NIH and institutional training grant administration
  • Coordinate and monitor trainee/scholar appointments, OSU HR requirements, and NIH xTrain submissions
  • Ensure compliance with NIH and university reporting requirements
  • Maintain surveys and conduct pre- and post-program assessments, mentoring surveys, and annual evaluations
  • Coordinate, collect, and monitor trainee/scholar progress through IDPs, mentoring plans, and program milestones
  • Collect, analyze, and report data for internal stakeholders, NIH progress reports, and institutional updates
  • Use Flight Tracker to monitor career trajectories and program outcomes
  • Establish and manage a database tracking junior faculty outcomes and benchmark results against national data
  • Support project plans and maintain Smartsheet with accurate grant and project status
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and CTSI evaluation team to assess and enhance program effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities for new initiatives and process improvements
  • Assist with promotional activities for CTSI education and training programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of relevant experience required
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field is desirable
  • Successful completion of a background check required for final candidates
  • Drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process
  • Ability to coordinate educational workshops, training opportunities, and career development initiatives
  • Experience with NIH and institutional training grant administration
  • Knowledge of OSU HR requirements and NIH xTrain submissions
  • Ability to maintain surveys, conduct assessments, and coordinate trainee/scholar progress updates
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report program data
  • Experience using tools such as Flight Tracker and Smartsheet
  • Ability to establish and manage databases tracking junior faculty outcomes
