About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide top-tier support to users of Ohio Supercomputer Center high-performance computing systems
  • Perform technical problem-solving and customer service
  • Ensure smooth operation and efficient use of OSC’s HPC resources
  • Work as part of the HPC Client Services team
  • Work up to 20 scheduled hours per week on first shift
  • Work on-site at 1224 Kinnear Road and remotely in a hybrid arrangement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Basic Linux/UNIX skills
  • Experience in scripting and programming (C/C++, Fortran or Python)
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Courteous, helpful, professional attitude
  • Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
  • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
  • Resume and schedule of available work hours must be uploaded
  • Available to work flexibly during business hours, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday–Friday
