About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Pursue specialized research, education and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Plan, design and execute experiments of considerable scope and complexity in the assigned research lab
Collect and analyze data for research sponsored by appropriate agencies and institutions
Provide technical and administrative support to ongoing studies in the lab
Identify and select problems to be studied
Develop and troubleshoot new experimental techniques and protocols
Attend research seminars
Contribute to manuscript preparation and support technical writing
Participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding
Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

PhD in psychology or related area
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
