About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive office support for in-house counsel
- Review schedules independently and modify them as needed to prioritize time-sensitive matters
- Compare new and existing documents, including business contracts, employment agreements, and confidential correspondence, to support authorization for approval and signature
- Support project and document management by drafting completed project materials for attorney or supervisor review
- Manage university resources related to office supplies and fulfill office needs
- Greet visitors and answer, screen, and route phone calls
- Respond to inquiries, including routine client questions
- Open and route office mail
- Establish and maintain physical and electronic files, including case management systems
- Coordinate travel and prepare travel documents according to University travel policies
- Plan meetings and conferences
- Arrange catering, equipment, and rooms
- May supervise student employees and provide backup assistance to other staff members
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of relevant experience required
- Must be able to work independently and on teams
- Must be detail-oriented, reliable, organized, proactive, and able to prioritize responsibilities
- Ohio State will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
