About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape the future of sustainable e-commerce at Avocado Store and Hood Media
- Develop user-centered, data-driven digital experiences
- Design user experiences and user interfaces
- Optimize conversion rates and digital products
- Create wireframes and prototypes using Figma and FigJam
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and testing
- Maintain and further develop design systems, pattern libraries, and Atomic Design structures
- Implement accessible web experiences in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA
- Use AI tools in the design workflow
- Manage IT projects and apply agile methods
- Provide functional leadership to teams and collaborate with colleagues from different disciplines
- Collaborate with frontend teams in the implementation context of React and TypeScript
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience in user experience, user interface, and conversion optimization, ideally in an e-commerce environment
- Proficient use of Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration
- Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, Matomo, and Kameleoon
- Strong knowledge of Atomic Design, pattern libraries, and design systems
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and practical experience creating accessible web experiences
- Confident use of quantitative and qualitative research and testing methods
- Practical experience using AI tools in the design workflow
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Completed university degree, ideally in computer science, or comparable qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience managing IT projects and working with agile methods, such as Scrum
- Experience with Confluence and Jira
- Holistic product perspective combined with analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to provide functional leadership and collaborate across disciplines
