About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support delivery and ongoing development of the Premier League and PFA Players’ Fund in line with agreed objectives and outcomes
  • Act as a key contact for football club charities and player foundations through virtual and physical visits, providing guidance, support and constructive challenge
  • Support effective funding allocation, value for money and delivery of funded project and Fund outcomes
  • Implement evidence-led practice using data, participant and player voice, insight and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Premier League, The PFA, club charities, community partners and local organisations
  • Support funding processes, including application reviews, assessment and recommendations
  • Monitor Fund performance through data, outputs, outcomes and case studies, and provide impact examples for communications
  • Contribute to quality assurance, continuous improvement and escalation of quality or delivery concerns
  • Support delivery organisations with high-quality, inclusive and impactful programme design and delivery
  • Lead and support national events, workshops and network meetings
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policy and equality, diversity and inclusion commitments
  • Identify and share best practice across the network
  • Support training, conferences, resource development, club charity delivery, and national and regional events
  • Participate as a full team member, deputise where appropriate and provide support during busy periods
  • Participate in external forums and networks to maintain connections with relevant initiatives, policies and organisations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working within the sport for development sector, preferably in charitable and/or community development capacity
  • Understanding of the sport and community development sector, including relevant policy, initiatives and legislation
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programmes or projects, monitoring performance, analysing data and applying evidence to improve delivery
  • Knowledge of football and player engagement’s role in engaging and inspiring communities
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and produce clear, concise reports for different audiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence engaging a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build trusted relationships across sectors
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with partners
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Passion for using sport, physical activity and football to create positive social change for vulnerable people in communities
