About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Know, love, and shepherd students and parents at the campus
- Recruit, mobilize, equip, and develop leaders
- Engage in the community to open doors for evangelism and outreach
- Contextualize and execute Student Ministry programs and events at the campus, including small groups and large groups
- Stay up to date and maintain Student Ministry programs, systems, policies, and procedures
- Assist with contextualizing and executing Student Ministry events at the all-church level, including camps and retreats, when available
- Provide ongoing feedback and evaluation of central resourcing when available
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Campus Pastor or Central Next Gen Team
- Serve at church-wide events regardless of position, with expectations communicated in advance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mature Christian character and a strong desire to reach and disciple teenagers
- Proven track record of engaging teenagers and their families in meaningful relationships
- Extraordinary discipline in recruiting, developing, and caring for volunteers
- Preferred experience in student ministry in a multi-site setting
- History of teaching both middle and high school audiences effectively
- Comfortable shepherding, supervising, and communicating with students, parents, and volunteers
- Passion for student ministry and a teachable spirit and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member
