About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate the realization of the organization's mission, strategic plan, and values at the point of care
  • Plan, lead, coordinate, and facilitate quality care and service for a defined patient population
  • Facilitate procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment
  • Provide adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver nursing care
  • Demonstrate problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility, and teamwork
  • Provide leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment
  • Collaborate with administrators and healthcare team members to design, evaluate, and improve patient care systems and processes
  • Lead UVM Health's virtual care program, including virtual nursing and remote observation
  • Monitor the program's impact and return on investment for the technology
  • Report through the Care Coordination System as part of the strategic Virtual Care initiative

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required
  • BSN required
  • Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience
  • Healthcare leadership experience
  • Master's Degree preferred, preferably in nursing management or a related health field
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment
  • This is a grant funded position
