About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the delivery of client programmes with the project team, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives, timelines and quality expectations
  • Design and deliver programmes of work and advisory engagements using the relevance framework and other tools
  • Translate insights into clear, practical recommendations supporting client decision-making
  • Demonstrate the value of the work through impact measurement, such as case studies
  • Manage projects with clients and colleagues, ensuring deadlines are established and met
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships that support organic commercial account growth
  • Understand client priorities and identify opportunities to extend support through cross-sell and up-sell
  • Collaborate with clients through webinars and events
  • Contribute to net new business activity, proposal development and pitch support
  • Manage upwards and ensure clear communication and delivery
  • Work with Directors and the operations team to plan and deliver client work efficiently
  • Develop leadership skills with support from Directors
  • Own one or two specialist proposition areas and support collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and development of the organisation’s approach and tools
  • Research and create client insights and analysis, and lead thought pieces for the memo and other outlets
  • Act as an ambassador for The Unmistakables’ values in client engagement, innovation and inclusivity
  • Take on ad-hoc tasks to support colleagues
  • Monitor cultural, societal and market developments and assess their relevance to client work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to connect cultural and societal insights to business challenges and opportunities
  • Comfortable working in both delivery and commercial contexts, with an interest in how consulting businesses grow
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships, understanding different stakeholder needs and delivering bespoke solutions that result in client and account growth
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, budgets and resources, in collaboration with Directors and the operations team
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience writing and delivering compelling presentations
  • Experience facilitating workshops
  • Experience writing new business proposals that resonate with clients
  • Experience writing high-standard reports or papers
  • Experience facilitating sessions or projects with sensitive topics that require creating safe spaces
  • Research experience and expertise in qualitative research, including interviewing, facilitating focus groups, writing interview guides, and analysing and coding transcripts
  • Ability to use research and data to identify and articulate patterns, trends, insights and opportunities that inform clients’ strategy
  • Experience working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team environment
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different projects and staying connected
  • Proactivity to raise concerns with projects, timelines or delivery and take action to mitigate risks
  • Interest in cultural and societal trends and how these influence organisations and brands
  • Good working knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Desirable: expertise in marketing or a related discipline, such as brand, communications or insight
  • Desirable: experience with AI tools, such as ChatGPT
  • Desirable: experience using CoLoop or Brandwatch
  • Desirable: experience of other research methods, such as quantitative research using census and demographic data, social listening, Boolean search and semiotics
