About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in conceptualizing, developing, and maintaining product portfolios for designated Sports and Entertainment Memorabilia categories within the Upper Deck Authenticated division
- Assist in creating innovative products aligned with sales and profit goals across wholesale, retail, direct, and hobby distribution channels
- Support licensed-property portfolio management, including researching prospective licenses and renewals and evaluating market trends
- Assist with inventory range analysis, business and long-range planning, SKU planning, space allocation, launch schedules, and price-point architecture
- Assist in product category and product development, including raw-material and photo selection, design development, milestone schedules, financials, license approvals, delivery timelines, and solicitation materials
- Help manage product development with internal and external parties while meeting legal, financial, design, quality, and safety requirements
- Support exclusive programs, premiums, promotional items, direct marketing campaigns, mass-market, and limited-edition programs
- Help determine and communicate product quality standards and monitor manufacturing, ethical, and supplier standards
- Work with Finance on trading terms, supplier sourcing, supplier performance, inventory, cost of goods, and profit-and-loss statements
- Provide input into marketing, advertising, PR, multimedia, launch, promotion, and solicitation strategies
- Attend trade shows and industry events and represent company and department objectives
- Maintain accurate system data and monitor SKU, inventory, warehouse stock, sales, and supplier performance
- Coordinate with UDA, internal departments, outside graphic designers, photo acquisition teams, and external parties
- Support photography selection and approval, ensuring alignment with department standards and licenses
- Travel to assist with trade shows, industry events, and company warehouse organizational efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on Product Development, Design and Marketing or a closely related field or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in sports industry, such as sports product marketing or sports product development
- Strong knowledge of Sports Memorabilia collectibles markets highly recommended
- Product development, range construction and visual range planning skills
- Extensive procurement knowledge, working with suppliers worldwide
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple high priority projects with keen attention to detail
- Superior interpersonal, leadership, negotiating, consulting, presentation, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment
- Hands-on, energetic and motivated self-starter
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on behalf of the company
- Proficient in MS Office
