About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage product development from first fit through to production across multiple product categories
  • Work closely with the internal design team, buying, merchandising, and suppliers to develop products
  • Build relationships with trading teams, sourcing hub colleagues, and suppliers
  • Develop improvement strategies to maximize product success
  • Maintain understanding of the department critical path, supply base, and trading calendar
  • Develop knowledge of UK and EU legislation to ensure new products comply
  • Support technologists and the global product compliance team in managing supplier quality failures
  • Ensure products are good quality, fit for purpose, and safe to sell
  • Help maximize speed to market, sales, and profit while minimizing markdown through low returns
  • Participate in competency and technical interviews as part of the recruitment process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Product development experience from first fit through to production within fashion
  • Understanding of developing a product range with consistent fit and quality
  • Experience working closely with designers and suppliers
  • Understanding of grading and sizing regulations
  • Numerical and analytical skills to review returns data
  • Understanding of manufacturing faults and how to prevent them
  • Understanding of supply chain issues, including lead times, flexibility, and supplier capability
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Office 365
  • Highly organised with strong communication skills
  • Ability to complete credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and, where specifically required, a DBS check
