Category Assistant – Electrical

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Electrical department across leading brands including Samsung, Hisense, LG and Sony
- Integrate category management with digital experience and marketing teams to gain customer insights
- Collaborate with trading, marketing and customer experience teams within the wider Retail group
- Lead end-to-end product setup through to go-live and trading
- Create line-level product forecasts and order requirements based on performance and stock holding
- Manage stock through critical path management, progression and replenishment
- Identify where pricing or promotional activity is required
- Use pricing tools such as Revionics to find matches and make pricing recommendations
- Support sourcing new suppliers or brands and own range building, forecasting, trading and promotional activity
- Produce ad hoc reports for the wider category
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in retail merchandising and/or buying
- Strong Excel and numerical skills
- Ability to analyse and communicate insights clearly
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Collaborative approach and relationship-building ability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must undertake credit, CIFAS and Right to Work checks
- DBS (criminal records) check if specifically required for the role
