About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the future of customer journeys across the Very app and website
  • Set the vision, strategy and measurable outcomes for onboarding, checkout and My Account
  • Lead, coach and develop Product Leaders
  • Translate customer research, behavioural insight and commercial data into product priorities
  • Embed experimentation, optimisation and learning into team decision-making
  • Explore practical applications of AI to reduce customer effort and improve digital experiences
  • Align Product, Technology, UX, Analytics, Commercial and Trading teams around shared outcomes
  • Build investment cases and represent the portfolio in senior leadership discussions
  • Influence customer outcomes, conversion and revenue

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant product leadership experience gained in a large ecommerce or digital business
  • Experience leading and developing Product Owners
  • Strong record of defining product strategy and delivering measurable customer and commercial outcomes
  • Deep knowledge of digital customer journeys, conversion and ecommerce performance
  • Experience using experimentation, optimisation, personalisation and analytics to guide investment decisions
  • Practical understanding of how AI can improve ecommerce, customer experience or product development
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and create alignment across multiple teams
  • Successful candidates must undertake credit, CIFAS and Right to Work checks; DBS check if specifically required
  • Must disclose relevant information, including unspent criminal convictions, before checks are undertaken
