About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to the risk universe, program, and plan
Complete risk reviews and document processes and key controls for selected areas
Raise and track gaps and enhancements, identify owners, develop action plans, and track remediation and closure
Document risk processes, procedures, and operational workflows
Contribute to the internal audit charter, audit universe, and multi-year risk-based plan
Plan and execute scoped audits, including scoping, walkthroughs, control design assessment, testing, reporting, and remediation follow-up
Independently manage the SOC project, coordinating with audit teams, facilitating document requests, preparing audit materials, and owning SOC check-ins and updates
Develop and manage the compliance policy lifecycle, including creation, review, updates, and enforcement
Assist with Compliance Program administration, compliance training, ad hoc compliance requests, and reviews
Assist with compliance remediation follow-up and tracking
Partner with business, operational, compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit stakeholders
Help strengthen the Legal and Compliance organization’s three-lines-of-defense model

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-5+ years of experience in audit, risk, or compliance with meaningful GRC depth
Ability to write policies grounded in technical reality and understand processes, risks, and controls
Experience working with or maturing governance, risk and compliance programs, including risk registers, risk assessments, control mapping, and remediation tracking
Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies such as COSO or equivalent
Experience interfacing with operational risk, internal audit, legal, and compliance functions
Strong understanding of compliance and operational processes and controls
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience with vendor risk management and third-party due diligence questionnaires
Self-directed and autonomous; ability to prioritize and execute independently
Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 1, COSO, Rule 206(4)-7, or equivalent
Background in financial services, hedge funds, or regulated environments with investor due diligence requirements
Familiarity with automated compliance platforms
Experience with operational risk
