About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum
- Use the nursing process and evidence-based practice to assess patients and develop collaborative plans of care
- Coordinate patient care with patients and interprofessional teams to achieve high-quality clinical outcomes
- Provide age-appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific professional nursing care
- Improve patient experience, streamline care processes, lower costs, and promote quality
- Contribute to mentoring, engagement, and development of expert clinicians
- Consult with physicians and interprofessional team members to solve problems and improve patient care
- Proactively manage risks and prevent crises
- Perform skillfully in life-threatening emergencies
- Communicate frequently by phone with patients and staff; calls are recorded and monitored for quality assurance, training, and compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures
- Compliance with department-specific competencies
- Ability to work variable Monday–Friday day shifts from 6:00am–2:30pm, with weekend and holiday rotation
