About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain high-performance, reliable CI/CD pipelines
  • Support deployment of web applications into production environments
  • Use cloud services, preferably AWS, to deploy pipelines integrating code repositories, artifact storage, and production environments
  • Build processes that automatically trigger CI/CD workflows upon version-control branch updates
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build issues
  • Integrate and test security and automated testing frameworks for code quality and compliance
  • Improve CI/CD processes through research, design, and implementation of tools, methods, and infrastructure
  • Identify, track, and report CI/CD pipeline reliability and performance metrics
  • Promote, manage, and support an Agile organization and structure for project milestones and deliverables
  • Lead DevOps and developer productivity best practices within the engineering organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, focused on containerized web application development
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, preferably with experience in Kubernetes Administration
  • Proven experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated experience using CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Travis, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
  • Experience deploying pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and automated processes triggered by code changes
  • Proficiency with PowerShell and Bash
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience deploying and maintaining containerized software using Docker
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, JavaScript development, and web application deployments
  • Experience with semantic release and blue/green deployments
  • Experience with Helm Package and Container Registries
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret or Top-Secret level
  • Preferred: proficiency architecting automated pipelines; Kubernetes and Helm; Terraform or Ansible; CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools; event sourcing in a cloud environment; Agile methodologies and JIRA; DevOps and cloud platform certifications
