About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead measurement strategy for clients, including KPIs, measurement plans, and data-informed business decisions
- Lead analytics audits of GA4, GTM, server-side tagging, Shopify Customer Events, Amplitude, Triple Whale, and related implementations
- Identify gaps in data accuracy, visibility, and compliance
- Own implementation specifications, QA, and post-launch monitoring
- Design data layers, event models, UTM taxonomies, BigQuery integrations, and proactive alerting
- Lead client calls and present findings, recommendations, business impact, and ownership of next steps
- Shape CRO and experimentation strategy using analytics, heatmapping, and behavioral data
- Advise on attribution and multi-touch customer journeys
- Reconcile platform-reported revenue across channels
- Provide strategic guidance on consent and privacy compliance with developers and client legal teams
- Partner with development, design, media, and client services teams
- Support large-scale migrations and redesigns, ensuring tracking continuity and post-launch analytics parity
- Help build the analytics practice by standardizing deliverables and processes, refining the tool stack, using AI to accelerate delivery, and supporting sales with scoping and pitches
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in analytics, measurement strategy, or digital strategy
- Agency or consulting environment experience ideally
- Fluency in GA4, Tag Manager (client and server side), and BigQuery
- Ecommerce analytics experience
- Ability to explain complex issues in plain language and make clear recommendations
- Confidence leading client and prospect conversations
- Practical understanding of consent management platforms and privacy frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and emerging state laws
- Perspective on attribution, off-site customer journeys, and AI's impact on search and shopping behavior
- Experience building repeatable processes and documentation
- Experience with Shopify or Drupal, including headless builds
- Bonus: Mentored analysts or helped build an analytics service offering
- Bonus: Developed processes to integrate AI into workflow
