About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, configure, and administer Windows and Linux server operating systems
  • Engineer and support systems environments including Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, VMware, and Exchange
  • Plan and implement future upgrades for Windows and Linux systems
  • Support infrastructure applications
  • Engineer and maintain Windows operating systems and Microsoft-centric network services including DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI, IIS, and AD
  • Support and maintain VMware computing environments
  • Maintain understanding of storage technologies
  • Manage mail delivery concepts and Exchange server environments
  • Contribute expertise to the Linux administration team
  • Apply Microsoft/AWS cloud services, web security, secure file transfer, application whitelisting, and email filtering technologies
  • Run system audit reports for regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across all support tiers
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule providing 24/7 support
  • Scale infrastructure for increased capacity and usage
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize performance while managing multiple tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows server environments with Active Directory/Entra ID
  • 3+ years of experience managing VMware environments, SAN, and backup technologies
  • 2+ years of enterprise Linux experience
  • Practical experience with TCP/IP and LAN/WAN routing and switching
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and a willingness to support a variety of projects
  • High level of initiative and dedication
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED
