About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care to Medicaid patients
- Set personal hours and availability and choose which referrals to accept
- Build and manage a suitable caseload
- Deliver confidential virtual clinical sessions
- Collaborate with therapists and other providers as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Make independent clinical decisions
- Participate in optional peer consultation
- Support expanded access to behavioral healthcare for Medicaid members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in Colorado
- National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Prescriptive authority
- Active DEA registration
- Colorado controlled substance registration
- Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications
- Own malpractice coverage of $1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate
- Experience with EHR systems and other digital tools
- Quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office
- Own computer and reliable internet for confidential virtual sessions
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in Spanish preferred
- Additional languages a plus
- Strong clinical judgment managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations
- Patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning
- Experience collaborating with therapists and other providers in a multidisciplinary care team
- Commitment to equity in mental health access for Medicaid populations
