About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across AWS and on-premise environments
Lead containerization and orchestration strategy using Docker and Kubernetes
Design and manage networking solutions, including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, PrivateLinks, Direct Connect, AWS Secure VPN setup, and hybrid cloud connectivity
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure, including automated testing and deployment
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for scalable, multi-region infrastructures using multilevel Terraform and Terragrunt
Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting for infrastructure components
Collaborate with development, security, and data teams to ensure smooth production releases
Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers
Build deep context across infrastructure, development, security, and operations domains to design cohesive DevOps solutions
Drive DevOps initiatives connecting technical, business, and operational perspectives
Support Thndr’s mission to democratize investing through its digital investing platform and Rumble investment recommendations platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, networking services)
Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent) for containerized applications
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing) in cloud and on-prem environments
Proven experience designing and implementing DevOps strategies and infrastructure roadmaps
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent) for automation
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
Knowledge of security best practices and fintech compliance standards
