About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable web, mobile, and backend applications
Take end-to-end ownership of features, from technical planning and implementation to testing, deployment, and production monitoring
Collaborate with product, design, QA, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications using AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure
Participate in technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and improve system performance and scalability
Contribute to code reviews, engineering best practices, and continuous improvements in code quality and development workflows
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining code quality and reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Understanding of software architecture, system design, application security, and performance optimization
Strong experience in front-end development, preferably React.js
Hands-on experience building mobile applications, preferably React Native
Strong backend development experience with technologies such as Node.js, Python, Elixir, or similar
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS or GCP
Practical experience with Docker and containerized applications
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
Must be able to work in Malaysia/Singapore time (GMT+8)
Must be proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
