About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive capital formation for Nuveen’s alternative investment strategies across wealth distribution channels
  • Represent Nuveen’s alternatives platform and explain investment capabilities, portfolio applications, and client value propositions
  • Partner with distribution, investment, product, and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities and deliver coordinated client experiences
  • Provide education and market insights on alternative strategies, industry trends, and portfolio implementation
  • Manage a regional business development pipeline and convert market opportunities into asset growth
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with prospect and client firms
  • Expand Nuveen’s alternatives presence and strengthen commercial partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, investment distribution, alternatives business development, institutional sales, wealth management, or a related financial services role
  • Ability to develop client relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and drive measurable business growth across intermediary or wealth distribution channels
  • Strong understanding of alternative investment strategies and their role in client portfolios, including private markets, real assets, private credit, income-oriented solutions, or related capabilities
  • Ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and credibly to financial advisors, intermediary platforms, RIAs, family offices, and sophisticated investors
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, relationship management, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region
  • Series 7 and Series 63 registrations
  • University degree preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience raising capital or supporting distribution for alternative investment strategies preferred
  • Established relationships with financial advisors, wirehouses, private banks, RIAs, family offices, or other wealth management platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with alternatives capabilities including real assets, private capital, real estate, credit, infrastructure, farmland, or timberland preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree or investment-related designation preferred
  • Sedentary work physical requirements
