About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Protect the organization's rights in contract negotiations, settlements, and litigation
  • Identify, evaluate, and address legal-risk issues
  • Research, analyze, and interpret proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations
  • Advise management on changes in laws and regulations affecting the company
  • Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal issues
  • Provide legal direction and business-related legal advice across areas such as corporate law, real estate, tax, litigation, transactions/antitrust, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labor, governance, and ethics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctoral Degree Required
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial law drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Significant experience in technology transactions
  • Strong judgment on legal and commercial issues in technology contracting
  • Curiosity and confidence to understand how technology works and how it will be used, and translate that understanding into contracts
  • Experience with AI, data, digital products, or other emerging technologies is a plus
  • Financial services or other regulated-industry experience is a plus
  • Sedentary work physical requirements
