About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement the organization's real estate investment strategy, including portfolio construction, market and asset selection, financing, and investment recommendations
  • Review proprietary financial models to monitor and analyze real estate portfolio performance, potential investments, and financing
  • Perform property valuations, develop value-maximization strategies, and create hold/sell analyses
  • Assess operating characteristics of real estate and property investments
  • Collaborate with asset management, finance, and performance measurement teams to prepare portfolio and asset reports
  • Draft investment memorandums for the Investment Committee
  • Analyze industry, market, property-specific, and competitive fund research
  • Contribute to fundraising and investor relations, including capital-raising strategy, investor conferences, advisory committee meetings, DDQ and RFP reviews, investor information requests, site meetings, and ongoing relationship management
  • Maintain relationships with industry experts, strategic partners, investors, and fiduciaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience required; 5+ years preferred
  • Experience in financial analysis, investor reporting and presentations, and prospective investor marketing and due diligence
  • Knowledge of real estate investment strategy, portfolio construction, market and asset selection, financing, and investment recommendations
  • Experience with proprietary financial models, property valuations, hold/sell analysis, and investment memorandums
  • Knowledge of real estate operating characteristics, including revenue, expenses, capital expenditures, tenant credit, and leases
  • Knowledge of industry, market, property-specific, and competitive fund analysis
  • Experience with capital raising, investor relations, DDQs, RFPs, and investor information requests
  • Ability to maintain relationships with industry experts, strategic partners, investors, and fiduciaries
