About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain experience and an overall feel for the company and financial services industry
  • Attend meetings and deliver presentations
  • Explore business-specific tasks and work with cross-functional groups
  • Participate in training, speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities
  • Perform actuarial and risk analyses related to actuarial liabilities and capital position
  • Conduct experience studies and assumption development
  • Perform asset and liability modeling, financial projections, and stress testing
  • Support ALM projects including economic scenario generation, duration analysis, and interest-rate stress testing
  • Value actuarial reserves and liabilities
  • Perform asset adequacy testing and analyses
  • Support annuity product development and policyholder illustrations
  • Determine non-guaranteed elements such as crediting rates and dividend scales
  • Provide plan pricing support and risk management support
  • Perform clerical duties, prepare research materials and presentations, take meeting notes, and gather documentation
  • Shadow office jobs and train in a variety of tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Preferred: At least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam passed
  • Preferred: Pursuing a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
